What Killion stores, and what it can never do

Killion stores positions, balances, transactions and the plan you build. It never receives your brokerage credentials, and the connection cannot move money.

The distinction that matters is between what a product promises and what it is capable of. Read-only access is the second kind: there is no permission to misuse because it was never granted.

Step by step

  1. What is stored. Positions, balances and transaction history from linked accounts; manually entered assets and liabilities; your budget and plan; and account details such as your email.
  2. What is never stored. Brokerage usernames and passwords. Authentication happens at your institution through SnapTrade, and the credentials never reach Killion.
  3. What the connection cannot do. Trade, transfer, withdraw, or change any account setting. The access scope does not include those actions.
  4. How to revoke. Disconnect in Killion, or revoke from your brokerage’s connected-applications screen. Either stops the sync immediately.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Killion is funded by subscriptions: there are no ads, no data brokers and no cross-site tracking. Traffic measurement is cookieless and anonymous.

Common questions

Can Killion move money out of my accounts?
No. Connections are read-only and technically incapable of transferring or withdrawing.
Does Killion sell my data?
No. Killion is funded by subscriptions and does not sell data to brokers or advertisers.
Is Killion SOC 2 certified?
Not yet. SOC 2 Type II certification is on the roadmap and has not been completed; we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
