How to connect a brokerage or crypto account

Brokerage and crypto accounts link through SnapTrade in read-only mode. You sign in at your institution, not in Killion, and Killion never receives your credentials.

The connection can read positions, balances and transactions. It cannot place a trade, move money or change a setting — not as a matter of policy but because the access scope does not include those actions.

Step by step

  1. Open Current Finances and choose to link an account. You will be handed to SnapTrade’s connection flow.
  2. Pick your institution. Schwab, Fidelity, Robinhood, Interactive Brokers, Coinbase and others are supported through the linking layer.
  3. Sign in at the institution. Authentication happens on your brokerage’s own screen, including any two-factor step it requires.
  4. Confirm which accounts to share. Each account you approve appears separately in Killion, so allocation stays visible per account and in aggregate.

Holdings refresh automatically on a schedule. If you have just traded and want the change reflected immediately, a manual refresh is available.

Automatic bank linking is paused while we move to a new provider, so cash and current-account balances are entered manually for now.

Common questions

Can Killion trade on my behalf?
No. The connection is read-only and cannot place, modify or cancel an order.
Does Killion store my brokerage password?
No. You authenticate directly with your institution through SnapTrade. Killion never sees or stores those credentials.
How do I revoke access?
Disconnect the account in Killion, or revoke Killion from your brokerage’s connected-applications settings. Either stops the sync immediately.
