Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 18, 2026

1. Who we are

This Cookie Policy explains how Killion Labs Ltd ("Killion", "we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on killionlabs.com and related pages (the "website"). Killion Labs Ltd is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 16905669. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. It covers the public website. It does not change the fact that we do not sell any of your financial data.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, session storage, and software development kits that store or read information on your device. Together they help a site remember a choice, keep you signed in, or measure how pages are used.

A cookie typically contains a name, a value, and an expiry. Some last only for the browsing session (session cookies). Others remain until they expire or you delete them (persistent cookies).

3. First-party and third-party cookies

First-party cookies are set by Killion on killionlabs.com. We use them for things the site cannot do without a stored choice or session — for example, remembering your cookie preference, or keeping an authenticated session after you sign in.

Third-party cookies are set by another organisation on their domain. The only third-party analytics cookies we use on the website are Google Analytics cookies, and only after you accept. We do not use advertising, remarketing, or data-broker cookies.

4. Necessary cookies versus analytics cookies

Necessary

Strictly necessary cookies and similar storage are required to provide a service you have asked for: security, load balancing, remembering this cookie choice, and keeping you signed in. UK PECR allows these without consent because the site or the security of the account would not work without them. You can still delete them in your browser; some features (such as staying signed in) will then stop working.

Analytics

Analytics cookies are not necessary. They help us understand which public pages are useful — for example, which article or calculator is read. We use Google Analytics for this website measurement only. These cookies are not set until you accept in the cookie-choice control, and you can withdraw that acceptance at any time.

5. Cookies we use

Necessary (first-party)

  • killion-cookie-consent — stores whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Set by us. Kept for up to 12 months, or until you change the choice.
  • Authentication session storage (first-party cookies or local storage used by our auth provider, Supabase) — keeps you signed in. Duration follows the session or the provider's refresh window. Strictly necessary if you use an account.

Analytics (third-party — Google Analytics, only after you accept)

  • _ga — distinguishes website visitors. Set by Google. Typically up to 2 years.
  • _ga_* — persists the Analytics session state for our measurement ID. Set by Google. Typically up to 2 years.

Google LLC is the processor for Google Analytics. Analytics is configured for website measurement only: we disable Google signals and advertising personalisation, we do not send financial-account or transaction payloads, and we do not use Analytics for ads or remarketing.

6. Google Analytics and how Google uses data

When you accept, the Analytics tag may record page-level information such as the page path, title, referrer, approximate location derived from IP (we request IP anonymisation), browser and device type, and coarse engagement (for example, that a page was viewed). That is website measurement. It is not a profile of your finances.

We do not sell any of your financial data. We do not share account balances, holdings, transactions, or linked-institution data with Google Analytics. Analytics is for the website only.

Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Please read that page. Google's own privacy policy also applies to data it processes as a provider of Analytics.

7. Other measurement

We may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is a cookieless traffic beacon operated by our host. It does not set an Analytics cookie and is not a substitute for the consent control that Google Analytics requires. Optional Cloudflare hosting logs are used to operate and secure the site.

8. How to manage cookies

You can control cookies in three ways:

  • Our cookie-choice control. On your first visit we show a cookie-choice control. Choose Accept analytics or Reject. You can change that choice later with or from this page.
  • Withdraw consent. Rejecting after you previously accepted stops the Analytics tag, sets the Google opt-out flag for our measurement ID, and deletes the Analytics cookies we can reach on this site.
  • Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. The ICO publishes guidance on managing cookies. Blocking all cookies may sign you out or forget your preference.

The legal basis for Analytics cookies is consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and UK PECR). Necessary cookies rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure site, or on taking steps at your request to provide the service.

9. Retention

Cookie lifetimes are listed above. Analytics event data retained by Google is kept according to the retention we configure on the property (not more than 14 months unless the law requires a longer legal hold). Your consent record is kept for as long as it is needed to show what you chose.

10. International transfers

Google may process Analytics data in the United States and other countries. Where a transfer mechanism is required we rely on an adequacy decision and/or Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy when our cookies, providers, or the law change. We will post the new policy here and update the "Last updated" date. If we add a new non-essential cookie category, we will ask for a fresh choice.

12. Contact

Questions about cookies: privacy at killionlabs.com, or our Data Protection Officer at dpo at killionlabs.com, or the contact form. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
