Pricing without a slice of your assets.

Killion charges a flat subscription — no asset percentages, no commissions, no kickbacks. The price is the same whether your portfolio is $50,000 or $5 million. Prefer to look first? The live demo runs the same 1,000-path engine with no signup.

What every plan includes

Both plans include the whole product: read-only brokerage and crypto linking, 1,000-path Monte Carlo projections, historical backtesting to 1928, five named withdrawal strategies, what-if scenarios and the AI assistant. Max raises the limits — more connected accounts and a larger monthly AI budget — rather than unlocking features Pro cannot reach.

A flat fee against 1% of assets

The reason to care about fee structure is that a percentage grows with your portfolio while a flat price does not. Here is the same year, priced both ways.

Portfolio1% AUM fee, per yearKillion Pro, per yearDifference
$250,000$2,500$132$2,368
$500,000$5,000$132$4,868
$750,000$7,500$132$7,368
$1,500,000$15,000$132$14,868

1% is the common headline advisory rate; Empower's published schedule starts at 0.89% on the first $1M. Fund expense ratios and platform fees sit on top of that.

The gap compounds, which is the part that is easy to miss. Money taken in fees in year three would otherwise have grown for the remaining twenty-seven. Our simulation of 5,000 forty-year saving lifetimes found the total effect far larger than the percentage suggests — run your own numbers on the investment fee calculator or read what a 1% fee really costs over 40 years.

None of this says advice is worthless. An adviser does things Killion does not, tax planning and behavioral coaching among them, and for many people that is worth paying for. It says the modeling half of the job no longer requires a percentage of your assets.

Try it before you pay

There is no permanently free tier, and pretending otherwise would waste your time. There are two honest ways to evaluate Killion without committing:

  • Every first plan includes a 5-day free trial of the full product. A card is required; you are not charged until the trial ends.
  • The free calculators answer smaller questions outright.

And if you are weighing Killion against other tools, the comparison pages say where each of them is the better choice — including the cases where it is not us.

Pricing questions

Is there a free plan or a free trial?
There is no permanently free plan. The first subscription includes a 5-day free trial of the full product — card required, no charge until the trial ends — and every paid plan carries a 14-day refund window.
What is the refund policy?
A full refund is available within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal, on monthly and annual plans alike. Pro-rata refunds may be available for annual subscriptions cancelled in that window. After 14 days, refunds are considered case by case. Requests are processed within 5 to 10 business days.
Is VAT included in the price?
No. Listed prices exclude VAT. Any tax due in your country is calculated and added at checkout.
What is the difference between Pro and Max?
Pro covers the core planning and simulation product. Max raises the limits — more connected accounts and a larger monthly AI budget — for people running more complex plans.
Can I switch plans or change billing period?
Yes. Both are managed from the billing portal, reachable from your subscription page. Annual billing is cheaper per month than monthly.
Does Killion charge a percentage of my assets?
No. Killion charges a flat subscription regardless of portfolio size, and takes no commissions, kickbacks or placement fees from funds, brokers or advisers. A 1% assets-under-management fee on a $750,000 portfolio is roughly $7,500 a year; Killion Pro is $132 a year.
How do I cancel?
From the billing portal on your subscription page. Your plan status updates immediately. If you also want your data removed, delete the account from your profile settings — that cancels the subscription in the same operation.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Your account remains and the paid app is no longer accessible. You can export or delete your data from your profile settings at any time.
