What syncs
- Positions: symbol, quantity, cost basis and current market value.
- Account balances and cash.
- Transaction history, used for activity and cash-flow views.
- Account and institution names, so holdings can be grouped by where they are held.
What the connection cannot do
These are not policy commitments. The access scope Killion requests does not include them, so no bug, breach or change of heart could turn them on.
- Place, modify or cancel a trade.
- Transfer or withdraw money or securities.
- See or store your brokerage username and password — you sign in at the institution, not in Killion.
- Change any setting on the account.
Practical notes
You authenticate with your brokerage directly through SnapTrade. Killion never receives your credentials and has nothing to leak.
Access can be revoked at any time from Killion, from SnapTrade, or from your brokerage’s own connected-apps screen. Revoking stops the sync immediately.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How to connect
Open Current Finances, choose to link an account, pick SnapTrade and sign in at the institution. Killion never sees those credentials. The full walkthrough is in connecting a brokerage account.
