How to set up your Killion account

Setup takes a few minutes. The only part worth doing carefully is the first pass at your income and spending, because everything downstream runs on it.

Killion is a paid product with no permanently free tier, so setup includes choosing a plan. If you want to see the simulation engine before paying, the live demo runs it on a fictional household with no account at all.

Step by step

  1. Create the account. Sign up with an email address and password. You will get a verification email; the account is limited until you confirm it.
  2. Choose a plan. Pro or Max, monthly or annual. Annual is cheaper per month. Every plan carries the same 14-day refund window.
  3. Add what you own. Link brokerage and crypto accounts read-only, and add cash, property and liabilities manually. You do not need everything on day one — start with what dominates the balance sheet.
  4. Fill in the budget. Enter income, fixed costs and flexible spending. These become the income and spending curves the projection uses by default, so a rough but honest pass beats a precise but optimistic one.
  5. Run a projection. Open Virtual Scenarios and run. The first result is a distribution, not a number — read the range before the median.

If a figure looks wrong at the end of setup, it is almost always a missing account or a spending category that has not been filled in. The balance sheet and the budget are the two inputs everything else depends on.
